Guernsey cow and Bull (Quail Roost Farms) Print-- Donated by Bill & Elaine Baumgardt

Preserved in it's original form, this historic print is laminated on masonite wood. Classic Guernsey cow and bull looking over wooden fence rail. It was given to Dairy Science Departments by the National Guernsey Association back in the 40's or 50's much the same as the cast Holstein statues were given. This Guernsey print is in great condition. Measures 19 1/2" x 26". Estimated Value: $200.

Lovely artist proof featuring holstein cows grazing by a river on a balmy summer afternoon. Unframed. Estimated Value: $90.

Milk Sample Bottle -- Donated by Charles & Judy Iager

This rare find in excellent condition is an April 5, 1921 patented "Monjonnier" milk sample bottle with a rubber stopper and metal identification tag. Estimated Value: $100.

 

Ice Cream Dipper -- Donated by Charles & Judy Iager

This unique Victorian-era ice cream dipper is tin cone-shaped and has a working turnkey mechanism for releasing ice cream. In good condition. Estimated Value: $60.

 

Larry Schultz Framed Print, "Seven Dairy Breeds by the Water Tank" -- Donated by Charles & Judy Iager

Fantastic portrait of the seven breeds. Matted and framed to measure approximately 12" x 14".  It is a signed print, but it also has an original signature of the artist. Estimated Value: $325.

 

Baby Milk Bottles -- Donated by Charles & Judy Iager

The Iagers have donated a real find! Five baby bottles (in original box and not opened until now!) from the early 1950's. Each pyro bottle has a different saying or nursery rhyme. These bottles were given to customers of Garner & Parker Milk Co., Gowanda, NY, which closed in 1978. Truly a unique and rare offer. Estimated Value: $325.

 

1900s Butter Parchment Paper -- Donated by Lee & Judy Majeskie

Beautifully framed and matted original Vegetable Parchment paper with 2 cow heads and dairy barn scene in red, green & brown colors. These papers were used to wrap 1 pound packages of butter in the early 1900's. Estimated Value: $100.

 

DeLaval Minature Cream Separator -- Donated by Roger Cady

Only 6,000 of these 1/7 scale DeLaval toy separators were made by Ertl Toy Company ten years ago. The model is very detailed, complete with a pair of milk buckets, an operating handle, a milk can, and authentic graphics. This item is hard to find and in very high demand! Estimated Value: $150.

 

Early 1930's Hoard's Dairyman Promotional Fact Sheets -- Donated by Hoard's Dairyman

These seven different unique fact sheets were part of a promotional packet used by the Hoard's Dairyman staff  in acquiring advertising for the magazine and selling subsciptions.  The fact sheets were used in conjunction with the promotional packet that was sold at the 2003 ADSA Foundation Auction. These are the only known copies that exist and would be a fantastic addition to the collection of any dairy artifacts collector. They are in mint condition. Estimated Value: $150.

 

Book, "Companion Animals: Their Biology, Care, Health, and Management" by Karen L. Campbell, DVM, James E. Corbin, PhD, and John R. Campbell, PhD -- Donated by John R. Campbell

This is the 10th copy off the press! Due for a June release, "Companion Animals: Their Biology, Care, Health, and Management" is a beautiful publication with contributions by several veterinarians and animal scientists. John Campbell, one of the authors, will personalize this issue. The book discusses many aspects of companion animals and includes cats, dogs, rodents, rabbits, amphibians, and more. Dr. Corbin  contributed over a half a century of materials toward the production of the book, including the story behind the development of monkey chow for Dr. Jonas Saulk. Ideal for those in animal biology courses and vet technicians, but certainly a good resource for anyone with an interest in the field of companion animals. Estimated Value: $100.

This year a new twist will be added; the high bidder will have their CHOICE of a weekend package for either the Indianapolis 500 or the Brickyard 400.  Full details of the package will include 2 tickets, weekend stay at Indy Hotel, transportation to and from track and a track pack. This pair of antique prints are of the "approved type" of Milking Shorthorn bull and Milking Shorthorn cow, "a balanced animal in the desired qualities." Each is framed and measures 11" x 13." Good condition. Estimated Value: $75.
