GRADUATE STUDENT PRESENTATION COMPETITION

 

ENTRY GUIDELINES

 

 

The Graduate Student Presentation Competition will be held February 23, 2001 at the start of the Northeast ASAS/ADSA annual meeting at Penn State.

 

All graduate students are invited to participate!  First, second, and third place winners will be recognized and receive a certificate and one of three cash awards ($500, $350 or $200). The Northeast organization will provide $150 for travel support to each student entering the competition.  Each school within the region is permitted a maximum of three entries.  An individual student may not enter more than a total of two Northeast regional competitions.

 

In preparing the abstract and oral presentation, competitors must meet the same requirements as others presenting technical papers.  Follow instructions included in the mailing for the national meeting. Competitors should prepare for all items considered in the Competition as listed on the enclosed Graduate Student Competition Score Card.

In addition to submitting your abstract electronically (follow instructions included in the mailing) according to abstract guidelines, you must also mail two (2) printed copies to Dr. Pat Schoknecht at 321 Boatwright Memorial Library, University of Richmond, VA 23173.

 

Students should submit a letter indicating their desire to enter the competition to Pat Schoknecht at the address above.  The letter must accompany the abstract and must be signed by both the student's major professor and department head.
