Dear Northeast ASAS and ADSA Member:

 We hope you are making plans to attend the 2001 Annual Meeting of the Northeast Sections of the American Society of Animal Science and the American Dairy Science Association to be held on February 23-24, 2001. This year=s meeting will be held at Pennsylvania State University in conjunction with the Northeast Student Affiliate meeting.

The enclosed pages contain all of the information you need to make your travel plans, including the hotel listing and registration information. Please note the early registration date of February 1.

A special symposium is also being planned on AAdvances in methodology for enhancing human food safety of animal-based products@. Certainly a timely topic.

We have also included the ballot for the candidates for Secretary/Treasurer for the Northeast Sections of ASAS and ADSA. Please read the accompanying biographies and return your ballots as soon as possible.
