Benefits of Membership in ADSA
Journal of Dairy Science®
ADSA is home to the Journal of Dairy Science (JDS), the top-ranked dairy research journal in the world. The Institute for Scientific Information’s Impact Factor ranked JDS the first of 45 journals in the agriculture, dairy, and animal sciences category in 2008, and in the top 3 for 9 consecutive years.
There is no better way to remain up-to-date on important advances in the dairy industry than having electronic access to JDS. The journal publishes original research, technical notes, current news items, and articles of general interest to leaders in the dairy industry.
All ADSA members enjoy online access through Elsevier’s HealthConnect platform (http://www.journalofdairyscience.org). Every issue of JDS, starting with the first issue published in 1917 up to the present, is available as part of the ADSA membership package.
ADSA®/ASAS Joint Annual Meeting
ADSA members from around the world attend the Annual Meeting, held jointly with the American Society of Animal Science, at a discounted member registration rate. ADSA accomplishes this objective through partnering with more than 20 award sponsors and through making its own association and foundation awards. For professionals and students, ADSA supports a comprehensive Awards Program designed to identify and recognize those who have made important contributions to the dairy industry and the association.

ADSA individual members enjoy access to a large and growing password protected library of recorded symposia.

News of the association is published each April and October fall in ADSA News.
Member Directory
ADSA makes it easy for its members to stay in touch with professional colleagues by publishing an online directory of members of the founders of the Federation of Animal Science Societies: The American Dairy Science Association, the American Society of Animal Science, and the Poultry Science Association. Beyond helping you stay in touch, this unique database of more than 6,200 individual members is highly searchable for those times when you need to reach out to members with specific expertise.
ADSA Web Site
The ADSA web site has the latest association and industry information including national and branch meeting plans; board, committee, and staff listings; JDS author instructions; job postings; dairy publications listings; and more. These areas of the home page are accessible to all visitors.
All ADSA members enjoy access to a large and growing password-protected library of recorded symposia, as part of the ADSA membership package.
A Stronger Voice Through FASS Membership
ADSA is one of three founding members of the Federation of Animal Science Societies, or FASS. Established in 1998 with ADSA, the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS), and the Poultry Science Association (PSA), FASS offers far-reaching benefits to the individual associations: a more powerful and influential voice strengthened through a combined membership of nearly 10,000 individuals, and better advocacy of the animal sciences and animal agriculture. A strong voice for science-based agriculture enhances scientific credibility and improves scientific exchange.
