The 29th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology will be held at the Caribe Royale Hotel and Convention Center, Orlando, Florida from June 5-9, 2009. Symposia will focus on HIV, autoimmunity and pregnancy, funding opportunities, novel concepts of endometrial function, preterm birth, preeclampsia, chlamydial infections, new models for pregnancy perturbations and human papillomavirus. Trainee travel grants are available including grants specifically focused on students working with food animal models. The society has arranged a series of optional tours in conjunction with the meeting to allow attendees to explore Florida’s natural beauties and cultural attractions.

By action of the ADSA Board of Directors, JDS has joined AGORA (Global Online Research in Agriculture), a program of the Food and Argiculture Organization of the United Nations. As a result of participating in AGORA, the Journal of Dairy Science® will now be available, free of charge, to institutions in all Band I and Band II countries (countries defined by the World Bank as having a gross national product of up to $3,000, per capita, in 2001).
