Champaign, IL (June 3, 2020)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Chad Dechow as the 2020 recipient of the Purina Animal Nutrition Teaching Award in Dairy Production. Dechow will be recognized during the virtual ADSA Annual Meeting.

The Purina Animal Nutrition Teaching Award in Dairy Production was created to recognize outstanding teaching of undergraduate students in dairy science. Chad Dechow is an associate professor at Penn State University and holds degrees from SUNY Morrisville, Cornell University, Penn State University, and the University of Tennessee. He is the instructor of courses relating to animal genetics and dairy management. Undergraduate students are important contributors to his research program, with many presenting at the ADSA Annual Meeting and contributing as authors for peer-reviewed publications. Dechow is co-advisor to Penn State's Dairy Science Club and coach of the Pennsylvania 4-H Dairy Judging Team. He lives in central Pennsylvania with his wife and five children.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA and Purina Animal Nutrition present Chad Dechow with the 2020 Purina Animal Nutrition Teaching Award in Dairy Production.
