Champaign, IL (June 3, 2020)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Charles Schwab has been named Fellow of the American Dairy Science Association. Schwab will be recognized during the virtual ADSA Annual Meeting.

The purpose of the ADSA Fellow Award is to recognize dairy foods division and production division members of ADSA who have rendered distinguished service to the dairy industry over 20 years or more. The recipients must have made exceptional contributions to the dairy industry, to a dairy-related discipline, or to ADSA; in addition, the recipients must be and have been a member of ADSA for a minimum of 20 years.

Charles “Chuck” Schwab, professor emeritus at the University of New Hampshire and principal of Schwab Consulting in Wisconsin, has selflessly served the dairy industry for 45 years as educator and researcher. Creating new opportunities and programs for dairy students, continual involvement in amino acid nutrition research of dairy cattle, and educating students, nutritionists, and producers worldwide on advances in amino acid nutrition and its implications on dairy cattle performance are his true passions. He has given more than 375 presentations in 26 countries during his career. As a member of the Dairy NRC (2001) Committee, he led the development of the protein and amino acid submodel.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA presents Charles Schwab with the 2020 Fellow of the American Dairy Science Association distinction.
