Matthew Lucy receives the American Dairy Science Association® Award of Honor

Champaign, IL (June 3, 2020)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Matthew Lucy as the 2020 recipient of the ADSA Award of Honor. Lucy will be recognized during the virtual ADSA Annual Meeting.

The ADSA Award of Honor was created to recognize unusually outstanding and consistent contributions to the welfare of the association or distinguished service to the association. The award is primarily for services to ADSA, with career achievements or contributions to other segments of the dairy industry receiving secondary consideration. The winner must have been a member of ADSA for 25 years or more, be living when nominated, and have served ADSA with unusual distinction.

Matthew Lucy is a professor of animal science at the University of Missouri. He has served ADSA through his work with the Journal of Dairy Science®. He served on the editorial board from 1997 to 2002 and the journal management committee from 2001 to 2003. He was a section editor for Physiology from 2006 to 2012. In 2014, Lucy became the editor-in-chief and completed his term in 2019. During his tenure, Lucy maintained the historical excellence of the journal through a series of new initiatives that were implemented through the coordinated efforts of Lucy, the FASS staff, and Elsevier.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA presents Matthew Lucy with the 2020 ADSA Award of Honor.
