Nagendra Shah receives the International Dairy Foods Association Teaching Award in Dairy Manufacturing

Champaign, IL (May 19, 2021)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Nagendra Shah as the 2021 recipient of the International Dairy Foods Association Teaching Award in Dairy Manufacturing. Shah will be recognized during the virtual ADSA Annual Meeting.

The International Dairy Foods Association Teaching Award in Dairy Manufacturing was created to recognize outstanding teaching of undergraduate students in dairy foods. The winner must have demonstrated outstanding ability as a teacher of undergraduate students of dairy foods in an accredited college or university and be an active teacher when nominated with not less than a total of 10 years of active teaching preceding. The winner must also be and have been a member of ADSA for at least five successive years.

Nagendra Shah has made outstanding contributions to the Australian and international food and dairy industries over the past 40 years. He holds an MSc from South Dakota State University and a PhD from the University of Alberta. He joined Victoria University, Australia, in 1991 as associate lecturer and progressed to lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate professor, becoming professor in 2003. He joined the University of Hong Kong as professor in 2012. Shah’s contributions to food and dairy research and education have affected and influenced the professional lives of hundreds of local and international students, from undergraduate to PhD levels.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA and the International Dairy Foods Association present Nagendra Shah with the 2021 International Dairy Foods Association Teaching Award in Dairy Manufacturing.
