The West Agro Inc. Award was created to recognize outstanding research of milk quality as affected by control of mastitis, management of milking, and practices in the production of milk. The winner must have made the contribution within the five years immediately preceding nomination and have been a member of ADSA for at least five successive years.

Simon Dufour is a professor of veterinary epidemiology on the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal. He currently leads the Op+lait research group. Dufour is an expert in diagnostic strategies and the development of data visualization tools for health monitoring and benchmarking. He has played a key role in mentoring many graduate students (most survived). Above all, he is passionate about both learning and teaching.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA and West Agro Inc. present Simon Dufour with the 2025 West Agro Inc. Award.
