Champaign, IL (May 12, 2025)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Qi-Lin Zhang and  Xiu-Zhang Li as a 2025 recipient of the Journal of Dairy Science (JDS®) Highly Cited Award. The number of citations a published study receives provides an excellent indication of its importance to its research community. The JDS Highly Cited Award program has been established by ADSA to formally recognize contributors to JDS whose work significantly affects research and the dairy industry.

The JDS Highly Cited Award was awarded to Qi-Lin Zhang, Xiu-Zhang Li, and coauthors for their paper titled “A novel bacteriocin against Staphylococcus aureus from Lactobacillus paracasei isolated from Yunnan traditional fermented yogurt: Purification, antibacterial characterization, and antibiofilm activity” which was published in the March 2022 issue of the Journal of Dairy Science.
