Fiona Guinan receives Journal of Dairy Science Highly Cited Award

Champaign, IL (May 8, 2026)—The American Dairy Science Association® (ADSA®) is pleased to announce Fiona Guinan as a 2026 recipient of the Journal of Dairy Science (JDS®) Highly Cited Award. The award will be presented on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, during the awards ceremony at the ADSA Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The number of citations a published study receives provides an excellent indication of its importance to its research community. The JDS Highly Cited Award program has been established by ADSA to formally recognize contributors to JDS whose work significantly affects research and the dairy industry.

The JDS Highly Cited Award was awarded to Fiona Guinan and coauthors for their paper titled “Changes in genetic trends in US dairy cattle since the implementation of genomic selection,” which was published in the February 2023 issue of the Journal of Dairy Science.

It is with great pleasure that ADSA presents Fiona Guinan with the 2026 JDS Highly Cited Award.
