Welcome Letter

The 2021 ADSA Annual Meeting is scheduled for July 11–14, 2021. This will be the first-ever hybrid meeting for ADSA. We will have an in-person meeting, held in Louisville, Kentucky, along with a concurrent virtual meeting. We are also meeting just before the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) Annual Meeting and will have a shared programming day with ASAS on the final day of our meeting. The ADSA Annual Meeting will address many topics and issues of interest to you as a scientist or practitioner involved in teaching, extension, research, and commercial activities in all areas of dairy science.

Please visit https://www.adsa.org/Meetings/2021-Annual-Meeting to find instructions for electronic submission of abstracts (deadline: March 4, 2021, 11:59 p.m. CST). Other valuable information on the website includes

The 2021 ADSA Annual Meeting Overall Program Committee and the individual program committees are working on an exciting program that includes novel symposia and workshops. Sessions will include platform sessions, panel discussions, workshops, and other formats, as well as oral presentations by internationally known speakers and traditional poster sessions. The outstanding planning by these committees ensures that this will be a value-packed meeting.

Special efforts are underway to welcome graduate and undergraduate students as well as industry personnel to the 2021 ADSA Annual Meeting. Again in 2021, the meeting concept will include several symposia geared to help all students succeed in various aspects of the animal agriculture industry.

We will be offering poster viewing within our meeting app to allow attendees to view as many posters as possible outside the hours of scheduled poster sessions, in conjunction with the virtual portion of the meeting. Onsite meeting rooms will be equipped with computers, projectors, and preloaded presentations. Presentation files can be uploaded through the abstract system in advance of the meeting or accepted onsite the day before the presentation. A recording of your presentation will be required. More details will be provided closer to the time of abstract acceptance.

Whether or not you decide to submit an abstract, plan now to join us either virtually, in person, or both!
